Dr Lehlohonolo Dongo did his undergraduate medical education at the University of Natal where he obtained his MB ChB degree in 2004. He worked as a medical intern in Helen Joseph Hospital in 2005 and subsequently did community service at the Germiston Hospital in 2006.
He then joined the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital as a Registrar in 2007.
Following the completion of his training, he was admitted as a Fellow of the College of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of South Africa in 2012. He also obtained the Master of Medicine degree in Cardiothoracic surgery from the University of Limpopo in 2012. He has special interests in the following:
